EGAT and the Royal Irrigation Department formalized their collaboration by signing three memoranda of understanding for clean energy development. These agreements focus on developing hydropower plants at irrigation dams and a floating solar project.

This partnership aims to leverage existing water resources for carbon-free electricity generation, significantly contributing to Thailand's Net Zero Emissions target in the power sector. It also expands EGAT's clean energy portfolio.
