EGAT and the Ministry of Energy delivered a solar power system with battery storage to Wat Thai Lumbini in Nepal, aiming to upgrade the temple's electrical infrastructure. The project involved a 2 million baht investment to install an 85.4 kW solar system and 185.2 kWh battery storage.

This initiative addresses the temple's insufficient and damaged electricity system, providing a sustainable power source and significant cost savings. It also highlights Thailand's commitment to energy efficiency and international cooperation in renewable energy.
