The Metropolitan Electricity Authority is undertaking a project to convert 23.2 kilometers of overhead power lines to underground cables across various roads in Nonthaburi province. Work, including conduit installation and cable pulling, will be conducted nightly from 10 PM to 5 AM until completion, with a significant phase planned for January 2026.

This initiative aims to enhance urban aesthetics, improve grid reliability, and increase public safety by removing visible power infrastructure in key areas of Nonthaburi.
