The Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA) and the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) Office have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to manage and move communication lines underground. This initiative covers Bangkok, Nonthaburi, and Samut Prakan, following a 2021 cabinet resolution.

This collaboration aims to enhance public safety, improve urban aesthetics, and strengthen the country's digital infrastructure to support future economic and social growth.
